Value-Added Selling
Call or Email Me for a
Link to the WebEx Replay
As print service
providers look to
incorporate technology
solutions into their
service portfolios,
managers are working to
create a value-based
approach to selling and
pricing. One of the key
challenges to
successfully selling
solutions and services
that go beyond price per
unit, is building a
compelling proposal that
demonstrates a true
value proposition.
In this webinar, we will
be joined by Eric Cosway
from Quantum Digital and
Karen Keenan from
Associates
International. These
CMOs are part of
companies that have
successfully offered and
sold value-added cross
media services.
You will learn how these
companies have developed
their proposals and
trained their sales reps
on value-added selling
and how they have
adjusted compensation
plans to appropriately
motivate sales
personnel.
Each Webinar attendee
will receive an
InfoTrends White Paper:
Cross-Media Services:
The Sales Process Cross-media marketing
services are not an easy
sell. Successfully
offering these
higher-value services
demands many levels of
organizational change,
including a shift in the
sales process. Selling
these services requires
a consultative approach,
as it takes time to
convince the customer,
build the relationship,
and learn the customer's
challenges and goals.
This white paper will
address how successful
firms are changing up
the sales process to
convert prospects into
loyal and more
profitable customers.

Boost your campaign’s
effectiveness with a cross-media
strategy
Now you can utilize a
personalized, relevant,
cross-media approach in your
marketing communications
with Xerox
Advanced Marketing Services.
Our cross-media solutions
effectively target your
audience to deliver both
higher audience response
rates and better return on
your marketing investment.
We currently offer two
highly effective solutions
for cross-media campaigns,
1:1 Campaign QuickStart and
1:1 Mobile Campaign Pro.
These solutions offer your
customers an ideal way to
announce new products, run
promotions, advertise
special events and more.
They also represent an
excellent opportunity for
you to add high-value
services to those you are
already providing, while
targeting and capturing new
customers. Comprising print,
Web, email and mobile
communications, our
solutions also include
marketing analytics and
reporting. With these
capabilities, you can
provide closed-loop,
data-driven campaign
management to your
customers, enabling them to
optimize future campaigns.
Our 1:1 Campaign QuickStart
solution begins with a
personalized direct mail
piece announcing your
customer’s event, promotion
or product. It invites the
target audience to visit a
customized web page where
visitors can, for example,
register for an event. When
they do so, you will capture
valuable information, which
can be mined for use in
other business-building
marketing initiatives. The
registered user will receive
a confirmation email—another
opportunity for you to
reiterate your customer’s
message and maintain contact
with the target audience.
1:1 Mobile
Campaign Pro further
enhances both response rate
and return on investment (ROI)
by leveraging communications
through a mobile device. By
incorporating QR codes or MS
tags, 1:1 Mobile Campaign
Pro enables you to achieve
faster response times and a
higher level of engagement
with the target audience.
You can also incorporate
digital content such as
social media sites, videos
or special web-based offers
with this solution.

Marketing Intelligence
Portal
Now
there’s a better way to know
what’s working—and what’s
not—in each marketing
communications campaign you
produce.
The Xerox
Marketing Intelligence
Portal (MIP) gives you
access to analytics,
reporting and Return on
Investment (ROI) calculators
for individual campaigns
with just a click of a
button. You can use this

maximize return on
investment for every
campaign you produce.
Designed
to measure, manage and
analyze the performance of
campaigns executed through
Xerox® Advanced Marketing
Services, this solution arms
you with the specific data
you need to act as a data
consultant to your
customers. You’ll have the
credibility to provide
expert advice relative to

profile to that of an
experienced marketing

Web-to-Print Solutions offer
you an exceptional
opportunity and value. Based
on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
model, we host, support and
maintain your storefront for
you while seamlessly
providing value-added
document services. Through
this model, your customers

sophisticated personalized
documents they want, 24/7.
You will position yourself
as a respected marketing
services provider while

licensing fees and expenses
associated with trying to do
it yourself. Further, our
Web-to-Print solution is
highly extensible, enabling
the integration of the
document customization
workflow into existing

The “Four Cs” of marketing
automation.
excerpt from the Marketing
Automation Whitepaper,
by:
Susan Kelly VP of Xerox
Enterprise Marketing
Services
email me for the full
whitepaper
Phase
One. Collection
—To
overcome any marketing
organization silos, the
first step is to collect,
catalog, and centralize the
management of your data and
digital assets, including
brand assets and identity
materials, marketing
collaterals, logos and
real-time marketing data
coming in from the field.
Centralized digital
repositories with clearly
established access rules and
controls are essential for
success. Successful
companies typically support
one-time initiatives
designed to create
centralized libraries for
their most frequently used
and valuable marketing
assets. All the work and
investment required for this
phase will pay dividends
later by providing a strong foundation for
business intelligence that
will benefit the entire
enterprise.
Phase
Two. Collaboration
—Once
your marketing assets and
customer data are easily
accessible in a secure,
searchable virtual
repository, it’s much easier
to facilitate collaboration
between outside agencies and
internal marketing groups.
By setting up easy-to-use
portals linked to your
repository, you can
streamline creative
development, accelerate the
approval process and improve
program management. These
portals are effective tools
for improving collaboration
inside your organization and
with other internal and
external groups. Improved
collaboration, in turn,
helps marketing executives
reduce cost overruns,
maintain brand consistency,
resolve version control
issues, avoid launch delays
and address other signs of
operational inefficiency.
Portals also help marketing
organizations access
real-time feedback from the
field, respond quickly to
problems and opportunities,
and work closely together
with development teams on
the creation of new,
market-driven products and
services.
Phase
Three. Convergence
—Digital
media convergence is
creating new communication
channels available to
marketers. For example,
personalized URLs (or “pURLs”)—which
integrate email campaigns
with direct marketing
initiatives—are designed to
lead customers to
personalized Web sites.
These Web sites help
companies gather customer
data and feedback that they
can use to refine targeting
and messaging. Personalized
URLs are a great example of
how you can merge two or
more media components into a
single campaign to provide a
much more effective way to
target, connect and dialog
with customers and
prospects. To take full
advantage of the potential
of digital media
convergence, you need a
cadre of clear-cut business
rules designed to maximize
content reuse, your digital
assets inventory and your
CRM data investments. You
also need to create digital
templates, activate digital
composition tools and adopt
a structured approach to
authoring and design for
routine marketing
collaterals and other
applications. The simple
fact is, you have to have
these rules and templates to
get the full power of
data-driven targeted
marketing and build an
efficient, results-oriented
marketing organization.
Phase Four. Connectivity
—By
combining the automation of
key processes like creative
development and demand
management with shared
access to data and digital
assets, it’s now possible to
integrate marketing on an
enterprise-wide basis.
Suddenly, all of your
isolated data systems and
legacy archives come
together into a
comprehensive source of
accessible, accurate,
up-to-date customer data.
Access to this information
improves lead management and
acquisition efforts as well
as your customer retention
and loyalty programs. In
addition, you can develop
digital portals to improve
communication with other
stakeholders, including the
sales force, key channels
and customers. This new
level of connectivity brings
the goal of closed loop
marketing within reach. You
can also connect your
marketing automation systems
and repositories with
existing technologies
designed to manage customer
relationships and facilitate
enterprise resource
planning. All of these steps
will help you sharpen your
customer focus, optimize
your marketing efforts and
generate a better marketing
return.
